This jacket makes me feel like i’m in a marching band and I’m totally okay with it. Inspired by the military look, this velvet blazer is my new favourite statement jacket. The toggles on the sleeves and the gold piping caught my eye right away. What I loved about this jacket is that it kept it simple, only having the toggles on the sleeves rather than overwhelming the piece like I have seen on other military jackets. Of course the fact that it was also velvet sealed the deal. I found that being the dainty and short piece that it is, it looked best with something tight and fitted underneath so I paired it with a body suit.
I chose a choker that was also velvet and had a gold charm. I felt that it made the gold detailing on the sleeves pop that much more.
Simple jeans were the way to go for this look because I wanted the jacket to stand out and do the talking. the sock boots were sort of the missing puzzle piece for this outfit.
